Government Degree College Rewalsar is situated in a small pilgrimage settlement named Rewalsar located in the Southern Himalayan belt in the Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. The place is sacred to the followers of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism and hence generally referred to as "Tri Sangam." This college came into existence on 15 January 2014 vide Himachal Govt. notification EDN-A-Ka(f)1/2014 to this effect. Government also allocated 25 Bighas of land and granted administrative approval of five crores for college building.

Initially, the college was being run in the temporary accommodation provided by GSSS Rewalsar. Presently Block No.1 of the college building is complete. The college has shifted to its own building in December 2021, and all the routine work and classes are being run in its new building. The college is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University and offers a graduate programme in Arts and Commerce streams.
